PureLine Coverage L.L.C. - Privacy Policy and Notice of Insurance Information Practices

Effective date: October 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PureLine Coverage L.L.C. ("PureLine Coverage," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit www.purelinecoverage.com, ask for a quote, buy or service insurance through us, or communicate with us. We are an independent insurance agency licensed in Illinois (business entity producer license #3003767283). This policy is designed to meet the Illinois Insurance Code, Article XL (Insurance Information and Privacy Protection, 215 ILCS 5/1001 and following), the Illinois Department of Insurance privacy rule (50 Ill. Adm. Code Part 4002), the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (15 U.S.C. 6801 and following), and the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act (815 ILCS 530). It also serves as our notice of insurance information practices.

We do not sell personal information to anyone. We also do not rent or trade it. We share personal information only to quote, place, and service your insurance coverage, as required by law, or when you ask us to in writing.

2.1 The short version

  • We collect the information needed to quote, place, and service your insurance.

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to anyone.

  • We share it with insurance companies, wholesale brokers, MGAs, and our service providers only to quote, place, and service your coverage, as required by law, or when you ask us to in writing.

  • We do not share your mobile number or text-message consent for anyone else's marketing.

  • You can ask to see and correct the information we have about you.

2.2 Information we collect

Depending on what you ask us to do, we may collect:

  • Contact and identity information: name, email, phone number, mailing and garaging addresses, date of birth, and preferred language.

  • Business information (commercial and trucking customers): business name and structure, USDOT and MC numbers, FEIN, years in business, operations, commodities hauled, radius and states of operation, revenue, and insurance requirements in your contracts and leases.

  • Driver information: driver lists, names, dates of birth, driver's license and CDL numbers, years of experience, and motor vehicle records (MVRs).

  • Vehicle and property information: VINs, year, make, model, values, and home and property details.

  • Insurance history: prior and current insurance, declarations pages, loss runs, claims history, and prior cancellations or non-renewals.

  • Consumer report information, where an insurer uses it (see 2.3).

  • Payment information: handled through our payment processor, Square; we do not store full card numbers on the Website.

  • Communications: emails, texts, call records, and messages you send through our forms.

  • Website information: device and browser type, IP address, pages visited, and similar data collected through cookies (see 2.9).

We may also collect information about people other than the applicant, such as drivers, household members, and business owners.

2.3 Where the information comes from

  • You (and people acting for you), through forms, calls, texts, emails, and documents.

  • Insurance companies, wholesale brokers, and MGAs that we work with on your behalf.

  • Consumer reports and insurance-support organizations, such as motor vehicle records (MVRs), claims-history databases (for example, CLUE reports), and, where an insurer uses them, credit-based insurance scores. Information from a report prepared by an insurance-support organization may be kept by that organization and disclosed to other persons.

  • Public records, such as FMCSA records (SAFER, licensing and insurance filings, and safety data) and state records.

  • Your prior insurer or agent, for example, loss runs you authorize us to request.

  • Social media platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram, when you submit a lead form in one of our ads.

If an investigative consumer report is requested about you in connection with an application, renewal, reinstatement, or change in benefits, you will be told that you may ask to be interviewed for that report and that you may receive a copy of it on request.

2.4 How we use information

  • To prepare quotes and submit applications to insurers, wholesale brokers, and MGAs.

  • To place, bind (once the insurer confirms), and service policies, including endorsements, certificates of insurance, FMCSA and state filings, renewals, billing, and payments.

  • To help you with claims and to communicate with you.

  • To send you our own marketing about insurance products, as the law allows. You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails anytime using the link in the email.

  • To detect and prevent fraud and misrepresentation.

  • To meet legal, regulatory, licensing, and record-keeping obligations.

  • To run and improve the Website.

2.5 Who we share information with, and why

We do not sell personal information to anyone, and we do not rent or trade it. We share personal information only to quote, place, and service your coverage, as required by law, or when you ask us to in writing, and always within the limits of 215 ILCS 5/1014, Part 4002, and GLBA. That means sharing with:

  • Insurance companies, wholesale brokers, and MGAs, only to get quotes for you and to place and service your coverage.

  • Service providers that help us quote, place, and service your coverage, under contracts that require them to keep your information confidential and secure and to use it only for the services they provide to us. They include DocuSign (electronic signatures), Square (payments), RingCentral (phone and text messaging), Google Workspace (email and documents), and Squarespace (website hosting and forms).

  • Others involved in servicing your policy, such as lienholders, loss payees, additional insureds, certificate holders, or a motor carrier you are leased to, limited to what they need to confirm coverage or protect their interest in the policy.

  • Insurance regulators, government agencies, and law enforcement (including FMCSA and state filing agencies), when required by law, court order, or subpoena.

  • Anyone you ask us to share with, when you give us written authorization.

We never share personal information with other companies for their own marketing. Because we share nonpublic personal information only in the ways described above, which the law allows without an opt-out, we do not currently offer an opt-out for information sharing. If that ever changes, we will give you notice and a chance to opt out first.

Text messaging: Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in/consent data are not shared, sold, rented, or transferred to any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. We share text-messaging data only with service providers that help us deliver messages, and as required by law. See section 2.7.

2.6 Marketing and how to opt out

We may contact you about insurance quotes, policies, and offers. We make marketing calls only as the law allows, including Do Not Call rules. We use an autodialer or a prerecorded or AI-generated voice for marketing calls only with your written consent. We do not send marketing text messages. Consent is never a condition of purchase. We also advertise on Facebook and Instagram, including Russian-language ads. To opt out:

  • Texts: reply STOP to any text.

  • Calls: tell us during a call or contact us, and we will add you to our internal do-not-call list.

  • Email: use the unsubscribe link or email oleg@purelinecoverage.com.

Opting out of marketing does not stop the notices we must send to service your policy by email or mail (for example, renewal, billing, or cancellation notices). If you reply STOP, we will stop all text messages to your number.

2.7 Text messages (SMS)

Our text program, PureLine Coverage Text Messages, is run by PureLine Coverage L.L.C. If you consent to receive SMS from PureLine Coverage L.L.C., you agree to receive customer care and quote and policy update SMS from us. Reply STOP to opt-out; Reply HELP for support; Message & data rates may apply; Messaging frequency may vary. Visit https://www.purelinecoverage.com/privacy-policy to see our Privacy Policy and https://www.purelinecoverage.com/terms-and-conditions for our Terms and Conditions. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

When you sign up for or exchange text messages with us, we collect your mobile number, your SMS consent (including the date, time, and the form you used), and the content of our messages. We use this information only to send the messages you agreed to receive, to respond to you, and to keep a record of your consent and opt-out requests.

No mobile opt-in or text message consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in/consent data are not shared, sold, rented, or transferred to any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. We share text-messaging data only with service providers that help us deliver messages, and as required by law.

2.8 Your rights to access and correct your information

Under the Illinois Insurance Code:

  • Access (215 ILCS 5/1009): You may send us a written request, with proper identification, to see the recorded personal information we hold about you. Within 30 business days we will tell you what we have, let you see and copy it or mail you a copy, tell you who we have disclosed it to in the past two years (or to whom such information is normally disclosed), and explain how to ask for corrections. We may charge a reasonable fee for copies.

  • Correction (215 ILCS 5/1010): You may send us a written request to correct, amend, or delete recorded personal information. Within 30 business days we will either make the change or tell you why we won't. If we don't, you may file a statement explaining what you think is correct and why you disagree, and we will include it with the disputed information going forward.

These rights do not apply to information collected in connection with, or in reasonable anticipation of, a claim or a civil or criminal proceeding. Information held by an insurance company is subject to that insurer's own privacy notice; we can help you contact the insurer.

Send written requests by email to oleg@purelinecoverage.com. You can also call us at (847) 873-8797 (Main) or (847) 874-6263 (Direct) for help with a request.

2.9 Cookies and analytics

The Website is hosted by Squarespace, which uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, keep it secure, and give us basic analytics (such as page views and traffic sources). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work. We do not currently use third-party advertising pixels or separate analytics tools on the Website. If we add analytics or advertising tools (such as a Meta Pixel or Google Analytics), we will update this policy first.

Do Not Track: Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. There is no common standard for responding to them, and the Website does not currently respond to them.

2.10 How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, as required by GLBA and the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act (815 ILCS 530/45). These include limiting access to people who need it, password-protected accounts, encrypted e-signature and payment services, and contracts that require our service providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure.

2.11 Data breach notification

If a security breach involving your personal information occurs, we will notify affected Illinois residents in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, as required by the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act (815 ILCS 530/10), and notify the Illinois Attorney General when required.

2.12 How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as needed to quote, place, and service your insurance and to meet legal, regulatory, licensing, and errors-and-omissions record-keeping requirements, generally for five (5) years after your last interaction with us (for example, after your last policy with us ends or after your last quote request), unless the law requires us to keep it longer. We then securely delete or destroy it.

2.13 Children

The Website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it. (We may collect information about minors, such as household drivers, from a parent or guardian to quote or service a policy.)

2.14 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. If we change how we share nonpublic personal information in a way that requires notice, we will notify customers before the change takes effect.
